One of our Tuscan weddings from last summer was featured this week in Ceci NY Magazine. What an honor! Ceci NY is an exquisite paper design company based in NYC.

They did the entire paper suite for the wedding which was custom designed to draw upon the special features of the Il Borro Tuscan villa where the three day wedding weekend was held. The invitation as pictured above in the hands of Ceci herself opens like the grand metal gate of the Il Borro estate. The massive gates on the estate open to reveal a magical world of everything quintessentially Tuscan. And this wedding used the entire estate to its fullest. The first day began with a welcome pizza party in the Medieval hamlet with an outdoor wood burning pizza oven. The guests were welcomed with Italian flair by a traditional accordion and guitar duo playing all the songs of yester year for which Italy is so famous. Aside from pizza there was a buffet of traditional local Tuscany salads, salumi and cheese. The highlight of the gastronomic feast might have been the six handmade gelato flavors served in an antique gelato cart. Each was so good it was hard to choose the best flavor. The second day was full of activities ranging far and wide throughout the Tuscan countryside. Pasta making courses in Chianti, wine tasting tours on bikes, cooking classes at the villa, sight seeing tours to Siena. Later that evening the Rehearsal Dinner was held in the spacious pool garden that was lit in multi colored lights just like a fairy tale. A Supper Club sextet regaled the guests with songs from Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Gershwin and others. And to top off the evening there was a show with fire jugglers and performers. And this was all a prelude to the big wedding day to come.
