Legend has it that Hercules fell in love with a nymph named Amalfi. When she died he buried her in the world’s most beautiful place and named it for her.
While the Amalfi Coast has been Instagram ready for centuries, it is not easy to get there with public transportation. It is worth the effort since, at least for me, it is the most spectacularly beautiful stretch of land that I have ever laid eyes upon. To boot the locals are charming, the climate is mild and the food is delicious. Be sure to bring your appetite.
When choosing whether and where to get married on the Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri, good planning and local knowledge is imperative. Choosing the right logistics will reduce the stress leading up to the event and make the days spent there flow smoothly for you and your guests. It is possible to have all types of weddings on the Amalfi Coast—Catholic, Christian, Jewish, symbolic or civil and we will arrange for an English speaking celebrant to perform the ceremony.
The biggest restriction on the Amalfi Coast is on music. In most locations the music must end by midnight if not earlier. There are a few exceptions where the music can go until 1:00 or even 2:00 but they are very rare. If this is an priority for you then be sure to choose the right location or consider another region.

Almost all hotels are open only from April 1 through October 31 with high season being May through September. Special offers may be available for some locations in April and October. The NH Convento di Amalfi may now be a hotel but it has retained the original historic structures of the original convent dating back to the 1200’s.
